Themed Race: There is a Pirates vs Superhero theme to the race. Supervillains are also welcome. Everyone is encouraged to race in their costume, just be sure you'll still float...

Memorial Race Fundraiser ($1 Raffle Tickets): SeanOn November 9th 2007, Sean Langevin, 23, a longtime friend of several paddlers, was ambushed and killed near the eastern border of Afghanistan with his Army Unit. One of 9 killed in that attack, Sean left behind a wife, Jessica, who is expecting their 1st daughter, Zoe, in March of 2008. The hope is that we will be able to solicit enough donations to be able to make a sizeable contribution to Sean’s unborn daughter’s Trust Fund established with Wells Fargo. Raffle tickets will be available throughout the weekend for $1 a piece. 100% of the proceeds will be deposited into the memorial fund. So bring some cash cause you could win some pretty cool gear and at the very least you'll be making a huge difference in someone's life.

T-Shirts: Event T-Shirts will be available thanks to Grapevine Apparel and Daniel Brasuell of www.Awetstate.com all weekend for $10. If you would like to buy a t-shirt please register for the race and put down what size you wear. This will help us predict the quanity and sizes to order. 100% of the T-Shirt proceeds will be deposited into the Memorial Fund as well.

Camping: Free camping will be available at "Campground B" at the Nordheimer Campground (Same spot as last year).

Event Schedule:

Friday, May 2nd 2007 - Free party and camping at Nordheimer Campground Site B. Party starts when the first person gets there.

Saturday, May 3rd 2007 - Race time TBD. This is the reason you should register, fill out the space that asks what time you would like the race to start. Please remember everyone will most likely be going big Friday night and won't want to wake up at 8am to race. Mass Start Format.

Post Race Wiffle Ball Game - After the race head back to Campground B for one of the largest and most wild Wiffle Ball games you have ever played.

Saturday Night Festivities - Race and Raffle Winners will be announced. I'm working on getting Live Music, let me know if you can help me out with this at all.
